THE PATH OF REMEMBRANCE
AND COMRADESHIP
A circular path suitable for cyclists, walkers, and joggers encircles Ljubljana.
It mostly runs on gravel but some parts are paved.
The route is marked with signposts (saying 'Pot', or 'The Path') and metal floor markings.
There are a few information boards along the way (in Slovenian), explaining the history of Ljubljana and its residents during World War II.

PLANNING YOUR TOUR
The route is 35 km long (22 miles), and you need around 3-4 hours to cycle it.
There are also some natural and cultural attractions waiting to be explored along the way.
ROUTE DESCRIPTION
START THE TOUR AT PLEČNIK'S ŽALE CEMETERY
Start the tour at the world-renowned Žale Cemetery, the work of the Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik.
CYCLE IN THE ANTI-CLOCKWISE DIRECTION
After visiting the Žale Cemetery, head towards the Koseze Pond and the Tivoli Park.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND ALONG THE ROUTE
The route mostly runs along a tree-lined path, with some paved sections also running among the residential areas of the city.
It leads past the Koseze Pond, the Tivoli Park, the Ljubljanica River, and the Museum of Architecture and Design.
There are a few picnic spots along the way as well.
The signposts and the information boards are written in Slovenian.
THE END OF THE ROUTE
The route circles back to the Žale Cemetery after 35 km (22 miles) and 60 m of elevation gain (197 ft).
