Bike Slovenia & Beyond

A cycling enthusiast and nature lover by heart,

a translator and language teacher specialising in tourism by profession

I am a Slovene living in Slovenia's second largest city, Maribor.

​

With an MA in English Translation and Interpretation, as well as an MA in Education Studies, I have worked as a translator and a language teacher, as well as held various other positions in the field of travel and mobility.

I enjoy most when out and about, cycling or hiking, and taking in breathtaking scenery.

​

I love to travel.

​

I am especially interested in the British Isles, and yes, you could easily call me an Anglophile.

I have lived and worked in England and Ireland (and take up every opportunity that arises to go back), and have also travelled around Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

I also have a new-found interest in my own country, Slovenia.

It amazes me again and again, and even with its small size it packs in so much diversity that it will probably take a lifetime to get to know and see it in full.
